Once you have your provisional licence, you can book a theory test. 

You don't need to have passed your theory test to take driving lessons, but it will help with all aspects of your learning and nd once passed, you will be able to book a practical driving test. 

Please make sure you check with your instructor before you book a driving test to see when they think you will be test ready by, and so you can check their availability.
